Tree Inspections & Surveys

Designed and implemented to ensure that a tree owner fulfils their `Duty of Care' requirements under the ‘Occupiers Liability Act 1954/1980’, thereby ensuring that the tree stock is managed in a safe and healthy condition and does not represent a health and safety problem to the general public.

The owners and managers of commercial premises have additional legal requirements under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, to ensure that trees within their site boundaries pose no threat to the safety of their employees, or visitors to the premises.

In most cases, the implementation of a tree survey creates a working framework around which a long-term pro-active tree surgery and management programme can be established.

Trees In Relation To Proposed Development Areas

Arboricultural & Woodland Consultancy Services offers a package of Arboricultural services to meet the increasing demands required by a Local Planning Authority (LPA) with regard to planning issues.

It covers landscape issues, and the effects that a proposed new development may have on the local environment. The detailed content of each report is tailored to meet the requirements both of the site and the planning authority.

Veteran Tree Management

Trees are the world’s longest living structures and form an historic natural link with the past, unfortunately the pressures of land development, health and safety considerations and global warming is creating a rapid decline in their health and number. With their loss, comes the removal of a link with our ancestry, but with a unique habitat for wildlife.

Arboricultural & Woodland Consultancy Services is committed to the management of these historic trees through a policy of education, and through the implementation of specifically targeted survey work, where appropriate, utilising professionals from allied ecological industries, and through the implementation of appropriate tree management work. All work undertaken in accordance with guide lines set by Natural England and the Veteran Tree initiative.
